I was a live-in nanny (5 years) before my 24 years experience as a PreK (3-5 years old) educator. I am also a mom of two grown men who are compassionate, kind, respectful, humble, good communicators, college educated and successful in their careers. That means, I have raised well-mannered children as their mother with a loving heart. As an educator my main priority were my student's health and safety under my care. My goal as a PreK teacher was to help them positively with their social/emotional developmental skills. At the same time, get them ready for kindergarten. During my time as a teacher, I also worked as an after school care nanny. My job was to pick up children from school, drive them to after-school activities, help with homework, feed them, making sure they are safe and healthy and stayed with them until parents came home from work. I am Read more too young to retire as a teacher and now I am looking for either a part time or full time work as a nanny/babysitter. It's the love working with children that I know I am good at.
