Hi! My name is Kaiya, and I am young but have lots of experience working with children. From 2018-2020, I worked as a summer camp counselor and before/after school counselor to children ages 4-13 at my community recreational center. In college, I was a residential youth care worker at a group foster home for boys ages 12-18. My roles at both places included supervision, transportation, planning and engaging in activities, and mentoring the children. I am trained in basic first aid and CPR, Trust Based Relational Intervention, HOPE awareness, Systematic Training to Assist in the Recovery of Trauma, Managing Aggressive Behavior, and have an overall trauma informed care approach. I currently work full time as a child welfare specialist, and enjoy caring for children when I’m not working. Overall, I am knowledgeable in child development, and will find fun and developmental appropriate ways to teach and care for your children.
