Babysitting and caring for those younger than me has always felt natural! Ever since my younger siblings (who are now in elementary and middle school) were born I always felt happy to help care for them. As I’ve gotten older more experience has led to other adults in my life trusting me and allowing me to care for their children too! It’s always fun meeting new kids and getting to spend time with them. I’ve recently gone through training as an assistant teacher at a daycare center and I’m going through classes in childcare with Florida’s Department for Children and families. I’ve been happy to spend time with children as young as infants and as old as early middle school. Whether I’m helping them with homework, reading with them, drawing, singing songs, playing outside, or just generally keeping them entertained I always feel that time is worthwhile.
