I love helping children grow; it's essential to me that they have a stable and loving environment. I didn't have the most fantastic beginning in life with my biological mother, and I ended up taking care of myself and my two older siblings before the age of 8. I have a huge family, being the youngest child on one side and the oldest on the other. I have about 3 years of paid work experience helping babysit a few children in my neighborhood, and even more helping raise and take care of my three younger siblings. One of whom is developmentally delayed, so I do have experience in special needs, and how to navigate accomplishing those goals. I have worked part-time as a barista for the last five years, so I don't shy away from pressure or task-oriented- time management. I am currently in college, finishing my associate's degree in Read more English Literature. I have also added psychology classes and learned about child development. I was certified in CPR in high school and know basic first aid. I understand that parenting is not easy, but it makes me happy to be able to help families in any way that I can. It's a fundamental babysitting responsibility to help with the house when able, and it's something that I've stuck to within my own home and when taking care of others. I enjoy working with children because it's helping shape the future of our world, and it's something that I feel I can contribute to.
