Hello parents! My name is LeAndra and I am a parent (just like yourself) to two wonderful children. I began my adult working life in childcare centers and after several years in that environment, came to realize that a home environment really is best! I have been a nanny and a sitter in the past, and stepped away to pursue a career in veterinary medicine while raising my own children. Now as I get older and seek to focus on building my farm, I am bringing my focus back to children and families and need. I am pet friendly, have experience with special needs such as Autism, Asthma, Type 1 Diabetes, Laryngomalacia in infants, and care of children with Anxiety/Depression. I am comfortable with all things medical and am always willing to learn more about a special need that I may be able to assist with. I also have experience Read more caring for the elderly/dementia afflicted and have been First Aid/CPR/AED certified for many years. I am currently seeking recertification as it was not necessary to maintain it in veterinary medicine. I am very compassionate in my care and am comfortable meeting people where they are in whatever stage of life they are in, so rest assured that your child will be taken care of someone who really cares about getting to know them and their unique needs! I can meal prep and enjoy baking with little ones (especially homemade bread!), don’t mind keeping up with the laundry and light housekeeping, and can run errands if needed. I love spending time outdoors and taking trips to places like the zoo, aquariums, parks, nature centers, and more. I am also just as content to cozy up with a good book for story time, or to encourage youngsters to create and share their own. Every family is different, and so are their needs. Whether you need someone short term or long term, someone to play for a few hours or someone to be there for more structured learning/play, I am ready to discuss your needs with you and see how I can be of help!
