I come from a very large family with 5 younger siblings and two nieces and two nephews so kids have always had a special place in my heart. This has motivated me to work in childcare. I have a lot of different types of experience including nannying and more structural environments like summer camps and after school programs. I have also been a part of my family's business that we created together. This business was an interactive museum that was focused on creative a space for kids' creativity and learning. I always try to incorporate my experience with this business in my childcare jobs. I love organizing activities for kids like sports and crafts. I accumulated some training over the years of childcare work including first aid and cpr training, mandated reporter training, and various trainings on how to deal with behavior problems.
