Hello! My name is Mackenzy and I am currently 25 years old. I have spent much of my life around kids - my first experience beginning when I was a child myself taking care of my three younger siblings! Childcare has a long history in my family and holds a very special place in my heart. My grandma actually owned and operated her own daycare as well as continued working in the school systems until nearly her 70's. I have gained a lot of knowledge through her that I carry and value very much. I was responsible for three younger kids from the age of about 8, continuing well into my teen years. In high school I began babysitting more professionally outside of family and friends very consistently through the summers and around sports. I most frequently had two or more kids, but varying ages. I also pursued opportunities offered Read more to me to be a Teacher's Assistant for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classes - my most cherished being the Special Education 3rd grade room. This was a unique experience and one that I will never forget. After grade school, I spent a lot of time pursuing studies and entering the workforce, which has lasted the last 4-5 years. My current situation in life has allowed me to be able to be home, allowing me the time to be less paycheck focused and more passion oriented. Children and childcare as a whole has always been a love of mine, perhaps mostly because of how I grew up and who around. Alongside that, I am a HUGE animal lover and currently have two pups of my own. Therefore, anything pet related doesn't scare me at all! I also have some experience in senior care, but it is more limited. Overall, I am a very dedicated, detailed and caring person. My greatest success has always come from helping others - whether that be cleaning, errands, coaching, being a good listener or just providing support when needed. I hope I stand out because this opportunity truly isn't about making money for me, but rather filling my time with things that I truly enjoy in a way that aims to aide others.
