Hi all! I am the eldest daughter to a single mother of seven, and my journey of looking after children started when I was practically a child myself!. My experience of caretaking ranges from personal ties, to private nannying, assisting low-income families through state programs, and even working at vibrant STEAM and imagination-driven children's centers. I believe caring for children of all ages requires multi-level engagement, a patient and loving environment, and a playful, curious and openminded approach. Along with the understanding that we are always leading by example before anything else! In my personal time I'm usually found volunteering at a local community garden, exploring creative outlets such as wood-working, or jewelry making, or caring for and spending time with my own diverse family and community.

Brooke was a fantastic nanny for our kiddo Wren. Brooke was with us from when Wren was five to 22 months when he was about to start preschool. Brooke was very attuned and attentive to Wren’s emotions and needs. She was creative in finding things to do with Wren that he loved like the zoo and train museum and play dates with other littles they met at playgrounds. Brooke took Wren to swim classes and let us know when he needed extra support there. Brooke was super communicative, for example on her own initiative sending us daily updates on what they did together, foods Wren ate (Brooke cooked amazing meals for Wren), and any health concerns. She advocated for Wren, for example when he was teething letting us know what she had tried that had helped him with that, like ice chips, so we could keep going with it. Brooke was playful with Wren and curious about what he was thinking and feeling. He was always happy to see her. Most of all, we appreciated how loving and present Brooke was with Wren.
