Hello hello! My name is Brittany, and I am a former collegiate volleyball player as well as a formal mental health counselor. While in undergrad at Creighton University, I worked in the on-campus daycare, predominantly with infants and toddlers. During grad school at Northern Colorado, I worked as a personal nanny and sitter for 3 different families (infants, school age children, and preteens). After graduating in 2020, I joined the workforce as a licensed mental health counselor, and I adored working with kiddos and tiny humans, especially those with ADHD and on the autism spectrum. As an AuDHDer myself, I love finding ways to connect with these kiddos and help them to understand the world around them. While I loved working as a therapist, I often found myself feeling stuck and restricted by the 1 hour per week limitations, as well as the clinical setting. I really missed being able Read more to connect with the kids on a regular basis as I had when I was nannying and working in the daycare. At the end of 2024, I made the tough decision to leave the therapy field and return to childcare. That said, I truly value the experience of working as a therapist, as it expanded my knowledge of working with special needs, cooperating with parents and other professionals on care, and understanding firsthand the different stages of development. My goal, first and foremost, is to assist parents, kids, and families in any way that I can, especially during these trying times. If any of this sounds like it aligns with your goals for your family, please reach out for an introductory chat! **Previously trained in CPR and First Aid, happy to renew certifications**
