Hi! My name is Hannah Brandner, and I am 20 years old. I graduated high school from Louise S. Mcgehee High School in the Garden District of New Orleans, and I am currently enrolled in college after having taken a gap year. I am planning on studying psychology and getting my masters so I could hopefully become a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist; if plans change, i hope to become a pediatric physician assistant! To get a little more personal, I am the oldest out of 3 siblings. I’ve always had a broken home, but I still loved spending time with my siblings. Given my past and childhood, and seeing my siblings go through what they went through, I gained a lot of empathy and optimism when it comes to dealing with other people, which helped construct my goals to become a therapist! I have babysat occasionally since I was a Read more child, and last year, I worked aftercare with The Academy of Sacred Heart. There, I was placed with mostly pre-k through 4th graders. I’ve learned that when it comes to watching kids, it is important to be a relatable yet fun figure that can see and understand what the kids want while also respecting the parents’ rules and decisions for them. I’ve always believed that discipline is necessary and effective, if done the right way! I am the type to treat the child in a friendly manner while also enforcing respect, and I am open to going places and helping with whatever! I also LOVE animals (I have a cat of my own that I rescued from a gas station, and a few of her babies!), so feel free to trust me with your furry friends as well. Overall, I’ve always enjoyed my experiences babysitting, and I feel it would be a good, time managing gig for when I go back to school in the fall! (Ideally, it would be nice to be able to complete some of my schoolwork if needed during a gig, but if not, I understand.)
