Hi, I love caring for infants and toddlers. I also have experience working with preschool and school age children. I have worked in family daycare, daycare centers, Head Start and in private homes. I have an Infant Toddler Certificate, a Special Needs Certificate, an A.S. degree in Early Childhood Education a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology and some graduate school course work in Social Work. I have been trained in CPR and first aid. I have years of experience working in Human Services and caring for adults also. I have experience working with both adults and children with special needs.I love animals, am a nonsmoker and have a clean driving record with a reliable car. I'm seeking a part-time position and can provide excellent references upon request. Although I clean up the kitchen after meals and toys after play, my focus is childcare and I do not provide housekeeping, laundry Read more or errands. I am also equipped to provide childcare in my home and live in a safe, quiet neighborhood. I have toys, books, a comfortable play space, a quiet nap space, music, movies, etc. I can also provide snacks, diaper changes and potty training. Thank you. I hope to hear from you soon!

My wife & I had Joan care for our 1st baby boy from the age of 10 months to 2 years old. She was fantastic and the two developed a close bond. He's 4 years old now and still remembers her! Joan was extremely reliable, very easy-going & flexible, and an absolute pleasure to have around our young family. We also had (and still have) a very large, stubborn American bulldog and Joan was more than accommodating with our having a pet around a very active toddler. Once things started to open back up - post-pandemic - it was time for our son to move onto a more classroom-like daycare setting. But, as first-time parents navigating those early months/years of raising a child, we are forever grateful to have the professional help of Joan and would be thrilled to recommend her again & again!

Our children immediately warmed to Joan. She is a calming presence in our home and flexible to the needs of our family. Joan values open communication and is receptive.

Joan is a winner in my book! Both times I called her to sit for my son (under 1 as of this review) she was right on time and super patient the first round some he takes a session or two to get used to a person. We now have her per diem and she's been a lifesaver!
