I have worked as a private nanny for 2 different families with 1 (min) to 4 children (max). I have been with the family of 4 for over 30 years and couldn’t be prouder of whom those beautiful children have grown to become. I have loved and cared for the children since they were first born up until the eldest graduated high school. Aside from normal childcare responsibilities, I too have aided each families light housekeeping, going on adventures such as the zoo and the “jungle” better known to us adults as the park ;), and engaging at events at local libraries. I’m very keen on imaginative play and creative art & writing. Education is very important to me and I work to ensure that every child meets their academic standards. Being a nanny is much more than maintaining a child’s health but moreover a guide. An encouraging leader that Read more sets the right examples and provides moral insight. We as Nannie’s have a duty to not just protect a child’s well-being but protect their integrity and how they view themselves in this world. Understanding each child is unique in their own way and all deserving of love and fairness. This is the mindset in which I practice and act on day in and day out. I too want to help the parents understand not only their child’s needs and desires but also aide them in being the best parent they are. I’m not perfect but do work everyday as a mentor with high hopes to leave a strong, positive impact on every family I encounter. After all, we all are an extended, blended family ;)
