Hello, Parents! My name is Lauren, and I've recently ended my nearly 3 year position with my current work family, their set of twin girls are starting school. Available to start immediately, I am hoping to find a warm, loving and compassionate family to join, who would appreciate all I have to offer. I attended college in Boston and studied both Early Childhood Education as well as Psychology. Since moving to NYC, I have been a career nanny for three wonderful families. Additionally, I have worked part-time for other families covering date-nights and weekend trips away. Career wise, I have worked with children ranging between 0-11 years old. Two different sets of twins, infants, newborns, toddlers, and children with Aspergers/Autism. Currently I am CPR qualified as well as a strong, excellent swimmer. Drivers license and passport are both valid and in good standing. I feel comfortable driving, taking mass transit, Read more biking or walking. Why choose me to interview as your potential nanny? First off, your child will always be my first priority. As a nanny I excel at maintaining a safe, nurturing, engaging, and loving environment for a child while in my care. Working side-by-side with the parents, I will follow the child's schedule and/or help create a schedule for both child and family. Routine is important to me (naps, lunch, snacks in-between the other activities and plans.) Some basic tasks I feel necessary are meal-prep, tidying up, child's laundry, cleaning/sanitizing child's toys, dishes, bottles, etc. I am an incredibly hard worker with a strong work ethic; I will go above and beyond my normal duties. I am a nanny that gets down on the floor to read and play. Personally, I believe that children should have the ability to get outside and explore, create and imagine as much as possible. Television stays off during the day-unless the parent prefers it on...but I do not. Our typical day will consist of arts and crafts, music, going outside to exercise and explore (playgrounds, parks, walks), taking day-trips (if permitted-museums, zoo etc.), reading at the local library, attending classes or activities set up by parents or found on my own time and research. I would like to find a loving family who will allow me to be their partner in helping to raise their child, and to help their child grow into a beautiful, strong, loved, successful little person. Thank you for your time and interest! I look forward to hearing from you soon!
