I started babysitting when I was still a child myself at the age of 12 yrs old! As an adult I obtained a degree in Psychology and minored in elementary education. I am also certified in MI counseling and have worked as a teen smoking cessation counselor on a state-wide research study that ran through the three major children's hospitals in the state. I have vast experience in working with and caring for all ages of children. My experience includes having been a therapeutic support to children and adolescents with autism and/or behavioral challenges in home and school settings. I am also a mother who never had much help or outside support, and I know firsthand how overwhelming and exhausting it is to have to do it all. I have written several children's books I am pursuing having published and I used to have a YouTube channel for children where Read more I read storybooks aloud. I am a great cook, artistic and creative, and also love baking. I do not mind performing duties related to the child in my care, and will gladly prepare meals and clean up dishes and toys, but I am not interested in taking care of the entire household beyond the child. I think it is important to get fresh air and exercise and to play games and sing and dance and laugh. Children thrive on consistency and loving boundaries so the better we can work as a team the more successful and happy your child will be! Watching children through various developmental stages of childhood is rewarding, but it is also a lot of fun when you can meet them and see the world through their eyes.
