I have only had Amanda watch our 16 month boy for us once for a few hours so I could attend my class. She was so great and I wish I could have her regularly (why are the good ones so hard to find?!) but she has a full time nanny job during the week, so bummer! She has over 10 years of nanny experience so she pretty well can handle any kind of child that she sits for. She is also expecting her own little one which is super exciting because you can tell she is going to be a great mom. She has a calm, gentle demeanor with our little boy and is responsive to his needs (physical and emotional) and I only met her briefly before leaving our little one with her, but I felt re-assured about leaving our little one with her fairy quickly (and I've seriously met some flakey weirdos on here). The struggle to find consistent, reliable childcare right now is difficult, but it was refreshing to find someone who I felt I could trust with our little one for a few hours and know that he was in good hands. We are currently working with Amanda 2 to 3 times a month for a full day care of our 2.5 year old daughter. Our daughter is always excited when she is coming over. She is flexible for us even with her sometimes busy schedule and communication is easy and clear which I value very much. We really appreciate Amanda and would recommend her any time.

Amanda cared for our 21 month old daughter this summer and fall. She was thoughtful, calm, focused, had tons of activities, kept us informed and in the loop, made sure that she understood what we wanted in terms of care technique and philosophy, and was never, ever rattled. Or if she was, she never let it show. With a daughter who was just entering the moody phase of her life, Amanda's ability to guide her through her emotional bumps was remarkable. We would have been very happy to have her continue with us, but our work schedules made it so that we couldn't give her enough hours to make a full-time position. Any family would be very lucky to have Amanda take care of their children.

Our 2.5 year old is very slow to warm up to new caregivers. She loved Amanda from the second she walked in the door. Amanda did crafts with our daughter, fed her dinner, and got her to bed on time. You can tell that she is experienced at providing feedback and guidance to her little charges. We would highly recommend her!

My son loved Amanda! She was on time, easy to communicate with and had a nice energy. She naturally met my 4yr olds imagination and they played together for hours! We will use her services again.

Amanda Helped my wife and I when we were visiting from out of town. She came to our hotel, was on time, clean, curtious, and a pleasure to work with. We have a 3 year old boy and a 5 month old boy, the 3 year old fell in love with Amanda ;) We allowed the boys to go to the pool with Amanda, It was one of the highlights for our boys. We would highly recomend Amanda for future babysitting and will be using her again when we get back that way.

Amanda helped us out with a date night babysitting job on short notice. She did an excellent job getting along with our son, and didn't mind us staying out a bit late into the evening. She's exceptionally friendly, has a good sense of humor, and is very professional. We will definitely use her for babysitting jobs again in the future.

Amanda is currently nannying for our 2yr old son and has been wonderful. She keeps a daily log so I know exactly what they've done, funny things he says, what he's eaten and learned. She's a great teacher and he has learned so much since she's been watching him. They have so much fun together and our son often mentions her when she is not around. I would highly reccomend Amanda.

We just moved to Washington and needed a sitter to watch our 11 month old while we moved into a new house. Amanda was profesional, kind, and kept us informed of all of the activities and schedule for the day. Amanda asked all of the right questions to keep our child's safety and well being as the most important. We have already asked to have her babysit again, and we highly recommend her.

As a first time mom, a first time needing a babysitter, a first time using sittercity.com, I couldn't have been happier with my experience with Amanda! Amanda watched our 4 month son for a week M-F from 7:30-5:30. Right from the start, I found Amanda to be an excellent communicator and great with follow up. She has a natural love for what she does and it shows in her dedication and commitment to providing loving care, attention to detail, and fun. Starting on day one, I sent Amanda a text asking how it was going. She immediately gave me peace of mind by sending me a follow up including pictures of our son as they enjoyed their day together. Each day she wrote out notes about what they did, when he ate, slept, diaper changed, etc. It was great to have this written feedback. She did a fantastic job keeping him on the 'schedule' that we had started with him. This gave me relief because he slept well at night so I could get some sleep too. Amanda was very reliable and was flexible with her schedule to accommodate a 6:30am start time one of the days. I could tell at the end of the day when I returned both our son and Amanda had a fun day as she told stories about some of their experiences. Amanda is a top notch sitter and has a gift in the way that she is able to read and understand babies. I look forward to having her watch our son again!

Amanda has been a nanny for our two boys, ages 6 and 3, for about a year. She is a wonderful, caring and responsible nanny. She keeps our kids happy and safe and engages them in fun and educational activities. Both of my kids love her. Amanda has always showed much patience and understanding even when the kids misbehave. We had a great experience with Amanda babysitting our 5-month old son! She was willing to come meet with us prior to our night out. She did a great job communicating. When we texted her inquiring how the evening was going, she texted us back in detail, and even sent a picture of him playing. When we came home, she had written up what he did (playing, eating, sleeping, etc) and at what time. We highly recommend Amanda and would hire her again!

Amanda went above and beyond when babysitting for my two little girls (3 1/2 and 1). We were in from the east coast for a family wedding and quite uneasy about getting a babysitter (for 2 different nights in our hotel) that we hadn't met. After talking to Amanda and finally meeting her, we knew our girls were in good hands. My youngest daughter, who often has stranger anxiety with new people, took to Amanda almost immediately. My preschooler was a bit shy since she had just woken up from nap when Amanda got there. Amanda's teaching skills, experience and instincts were obvious as we listened from the other room while getting ready to go out. Amanda immediately related to my daughter on her level and won my preschooler over. Before we left, my preschooler was asking whether Amanda could play another day as well and even asked her if she could sleep over! My local cousins who met Amanda when she babysat for us for 8 hours the day of the wedding couldn't wait to get Amanda's contact information. My girls both really loved playing with Amanda. They were well cared for and had fun with Amanda. Amanda is trustworthy, friendly and competent. Weeks later, when my daughter plays make believe, her pretend babysitter during play is always named Amanda! I can't thank her enough for putting us at ease and taking such good care of my little ones! I only wished she lived on the east coast so we could have her babysit again!
