Hi! My name is Amalia, and I’m a second-year nursing student passionate about caring for others, especially children. I love being a sitter because it gives me the opportunity to show love, compassion, and support to families while building meaningful connections with the kids I care for. It’s such a rewarding experience to be able to make a difference in someone's day and offer a helping hand when it’s needed most. I have extensive experience working with children in various settings. For over a year, I worked as a child caretaker at my church, where I provided supervision, assisted with activities, and helped guide kids throughout their day. Additionally, I’ve worked with 3-5-year-olds in Sunday school, where I helped organize lessons, activities, and playtime. I’ve also been involved in running children’s summer programs during two local church mission trips, where I took on roles like leading small groups, supervising, and Read more ensuring the safety of the kids. I’ve been responsible for tasks like helping children use the restroom, changing diapers, and making sure they’re safe and having fun. I’m currently working as a companion at a Hospital, where I provide supervision and support to patients, and I’m CPR certified through my job. I also have grown up with two younger siblings, which has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and being a dependable person. I’m comfortable around pets, especially dogs, though I do have a mild allergy to cats. Overall, I find great joy in being a sitter because it allows me to give back to others, provide a sense of security for both children and their parents, and have fun while doing so.
