I have been helping to care for children more than half my life from volunteer child care at church as a teen, working at the YMCA as both team lead and play and learn coordinator throughout college, and most recently as a preschool teacher working in classrooms of all ages (6 weeks-PreK). I am CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. While I graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology, I have done coursework for early education and social work. I love applying my knowledge to help support the social-emotional development of the children I care for, along with creating moments for learning through play. I have spent the past 3 years attending professional development sessions and implementing Conscious Discipline's brain state model in my classroom to establish safety, connection, and problem solving.
