Hi there! My name is Sonia and I am 29years old coming from Hayward California. I have a lot of experience in childcare! Started taking care of kids ever since I was young. My dad’s family is HUGE (17 brothers and sisters) so a lot of nieces and newborn to take care of! Our house was like a daycare when I was younger. I’ve been doing overnight care/ babysitting/ elderly care/ nanny care/ infant care/ housekeeping for 10 + years now and transitioned my career into a personal chef. I have loved cooking all my life, but just 4 years ago I started getting more serious and passionate about my cheffing career. I have worked in San Carlos, Sf, Oakland, Fremont, San Mateo, And Richmond and hope to continue to travel more to help families in their need. Not to sound like a scammer, but please if you can look Read more past the false comments on my star rating that would be a blessing. I have reached out to those family members letting them know I was handling my parents health issues at the time( both had two strokes). Nonetheless they still felt the need to write out a bad report. To those taking the time out to get to personally know me and see how hard I work Thank you so much. I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Sonia was absolutely great! Very sweet, attentive, responsible, & detail oriented. She has watched my 7 year old daughter. She was responsible for preparing breakfast, driving her to school, picking her up from school, preparing snack, after school routine, & preparing dinner. From our first contact, Sonia was very friendly, responsive & punctual. We had a phone interview, which she was on time for. She was persistent and responsible in asking me for the daily schedule/routine. She was even on time to arrive at my house at 5:30 am! My daughter told me Sonia “was the best babysitter she has had.” Thank you Sonia! See you soon!

Sonia is very untrustworthy. We hired her a few times towards the end of 2019 to care for our 5-month old baby. We then made arrangements with her to hire her for all of 2020, one day a week. We specifically asked her if there was any chance her schedule might change, and she said it would not. Then, the day before she is set to work for us on a regular basis, my husband checked in with her to confirm. It was then that she told us that she had a school conflict and could not work for us. This was a ONE DAY NOTICE on a long-term commitment. We're now left scrambling and desperate to find a one-day-per-week person. Would she have told us if we hadn't texted her the day before? Did it not occur to her to tell us as soon as she knew that she had a conflict? This is a shocking lack of integrity for a child care provider. Do not hire this woman.

We scheduled a face to face interview, for which my husband took time off work to be present, and she didn't show up. I messaged her twice during the day to confirm and she didn't even bother replying - I wouldn't have minded a response just saying "sorry I changed my mind/I'm not interested", but this behavior showed lack of professionalism in my opinion.
