Meet Annie

I believe that children are our future and they teach me as much as I can teach them. They are creative, imaginative, smart, empathetic, funny and bring me a lot of joy in my life. I have worked in and out of schools for years, primarily working with children that need support with behaviors. (Currently employed as a Behavioral Interventionist during the school year.) I worked at a few different schools in Rochester, NY as a paraprofessional for two years, led a beginning piano course for middle schoolers, was a social emotional coach at an elementary school, was a paraprofessional at a charter school and I also have 17 nieces and nephews and took care of them on and off over the years. What sets me apart is that I can teach and write music, I love singing and dancing and cooking and arts and crafts and I highly respect Read more children and their needs. I also love being active and will play almost any sport, if prompted. I am dedicated to the wellness and fun of any child I look after. I love to learn things from children and like to bring any opportunity of learning from my own experiences, if it seems like a useful skill to share. I believe in being kind even in the face of conflict and model communicating as much as possible so that I can understand the children's needs.
