my name is Trisha L I'm a passionate, outgoing, and energetic 38-year-old from Rockford, Illinois. I have always been drawn to working with children, and much of that stems from growing up in a household where my mom ran a daycare in our hometown. From a young age, I babysat for neighbors and started nurturing my love for childcare. I graduated high school with a strong foundation in child development, where I learned about the stages of growth from infancy through adolescence. During my senior year, I had the opportunity to work hands-on in a preschool classroom, helping young learners and forming some of my fondest memories, like racing big wheels down the hallways with my preschool buddy. I also worked as a teacher's aide in a kindergarten class, which further deepened my understanding of child education. After high school, I worked at a facility for children with special needs, Read more where I received CNA training and gained valuable experience working with kids on the autism spectrum, including non-verbal and wheelchair-bound children. This job was incredibly rewarding, though often challenging, and gave me a unique perspective on the various needs of children. Over the years, I've continued to work with children in a variety of settings, including daycare facilities, as a personal nanny, and even as a paraprofessional in a middle school. What I’ve found is that being a personal nanny is where my heart truly lies. I love forming lasting relationships with both the children and their families, and I find great joy in being a consistent, nurturing presence in a child's life. In 2020, when the pandemic hit, I shifted gears and worked in the construction industry for a while. The skills I developed in project management and team communication were surprisingly transferable to the nanny role, where organization and attention to detail are key. Now, I'm back in the nanny world and excited to bring my diverse experience, strong communication skills, and genuine love for children to your family. I believe in keeping the lines of communication open with the families I work for, whether that’s sending regular updates or sharing pictures throughout the day. I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child, and I would love to be a part of yours. I am also CPR and First Aid Certified.
