Hello, my name is Karena and I am looking for a full time nanny job. I have 10 years of paid experience as a family nanny with all ages of children. I having experienced in early childhood development as well as CPR certification. I have worked with families with micro preemie twins, to a single child, to 5 child family. I am comfortable with all ages. I am punctual, respectful, organized, energetic, creative, and schedule oriented and extremely confident when it comes to working with children. I personally prefer screen free activities and prioritize movement/ outside time as a nanny and encourage children to access their creativity and imagination with activities that support their development. As a nanny my main focus while working with a family is safety, maintaining respect for one another, communicating effectively to understand the expectations of the family concerning their family routines and rhythm's. It is Read more important to me that children feel heard and understood and valued regardless of their age. Fostering an environment that is fun, safe, and enjoyable for everyone is a priority. Karena has worked full-time with our family for nearly five years. Her skills and abilities have adapted and grown as our children have grown. She is firm but kind and is good at keeping a schedule. The kids absolutely love spending time with her (and she with them). She occasionally stays for dinner, helps out with the odd-hour request (like if something blew up last minute at work etc). She is extremely flexible when our schedule deviates from the expected schedule. She never complains, rarely gets sick, doesn't mind tending to sick children, and keeps a positive attitude. She started with us when our micro-preemie twins were about 6 months old (and 9 pounds) and our daughter was 3, and we have been thrilled that God brought her into our lives when He did.
