Hi, I’m Mikayla! I work as a children’s ABA behavior tech and I’m a senior at the College of Charleston. I have babysat and worked professionally with infants as young as 4 months to older elementary schoolers, as well as children with autism and other developmental delays. I am CPR certified through the AHA. TUTORING, TRANSPORTATION, PETS: Because of my job I stay stocked up on PlayDoh, puzzles, fidget toys, and anything else you can think of, so I’m happy to bring over activities to entertain your kiddos. I am studying English creative writing and pre-nursing, and enjoy teaching kids, so I’m always open to helping with homework while I’m there and sharing the love of reading or science! Any pets you have in the home are fine with me, I am also a pretty regular pet sitter so just let me know if they need to be fed or Read more cared for and I’m happy to do that. I have my own car and if you are comfortable with me driving your kids I can do visits to the park, school pickup, etc. Light housework while I am watching them is fine by me (I honestly love cleaning) but regardless I’ll always make sure any dishes, toys, etc. we used while playing are organized by the end of the visit. AVAILABILITY AND AREA: My general availability is: After 6pm on all weekdays, 6am-10am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Anytime on Saturdays. Reach out though if you are unsure because I often have a cancelled class/shift! I am open to weekly recurring visits or one-time visits, I just cannot do full-time nannying currently because of school. I live in the Summerville area and prefer to sit within 10 miles of that but if you are a little outside of it, let me know and we can discuss. RATES: My minimum/average rate is 14/hr, and I ask an added 2/hr per additional child. I want to make sure your kids get attention and are safe, so I am typically not available to take care of more than three at once. If you have a child that is special needs, I would love to care for them and have experience, but I would ask that I only take care of one child at a time if they require a 1:1 level of care and/or have self-injurous behaviors or elopement.
