Hi. I'm Gisel. I'm from Mexico, and I've been living in the US for about 4 years. I am currently studying Early Child Education, with an Infants and Toddlers associate at SBCC. I will graduate this summer. I love working with children and families. As a part of my ECE program I've been working as a student-teacher at the OELC where I am required to work around 100 hours per semester. So far, I've been loving this experience and it has helped me learn a lot about working with children, and how we can provide the best (and fun!) experiences for them to explore and learn in their own way. Also, for the past 16 months I've been working as an after-school babysitter for 2 amazing kids (4, and 6 yo.) that I love, but their summer plans might affect the hours I'd like to work during the summer. In Read more my previous jobs I've worked as an after-school babysitter for a sweet 3 years old girl. I've also worked as a full-time nanny for two wonderful toddlers which helped me to gain so much experience with toddlers. Since I was in Mexico, I've babysat kids from 0 to 10 years old, and I've also done it here in the USA for 3 years. I'm happy to provide references. During the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to volunteer for a month in a child care in South Africa. I was helping in the 4 years old class where I was able to spend a lot of time playing, teaching, and making fun activities with the kids. This experience helped me to confirm that working with kids is what I really want to do for the rest of my life. I am planning to CPR certificate again soon. A little about me Family is one of the most important things for me. I love being active. I like being kind, and I am an energetic, and creative person. One of my favorite parts of living in SB is to watch the sunset/sunrise at the beach!.
