Hello, I'm Allison and I'm 19 years old. I’m a full time student at Christopher Newport University majoring in Psychology and Leadership Studies. I’ve maintained straight A’s for the past 6 years or so if you’d kids need help with homework I’m more than happy to assist! I’ll be back in the Northern Virginia area starting the beginning of May and am hoping to find some sort of summer employment! As the daughter of a child care provider and the oldest of 3 girls, I'm always spending my time around kids and have lots of experience with all ages. I babysit my sisters when need be, was a long term babysitter (up until the pandemic started) for a little boy who just turned 5, and babysit for several families on the occasion. I want to be a Clinical Psychologist, specifically for kids and teens, so babysitting and spending time around kids isn't only enjoyable to me, but also makes me feel like I'm preparing for mu future. I'm a great problem solver, can usually deescalate any fights or tantrums, and am always trying to find fun new ways to keep kids entertained. I am CPR certified, as it is a graduation requirement in Virginia, and also know basic first aid. I'm also a pretty good cook, so I can help out with meal times and dishes.
