*Please see RATINGS/REVIEWS. I’m extremely Covid-safe & vaccinated. ——— Hi, my name is Lisa, I’m Chicago born, college educated, a nanny, musician, writer, artist, ex-office manager, & a very warm, responsible, energetic & fun woman. I'm middle child from a huge (7 kids) suburban family, & LOVE children. I was egg donor for my sister 19 years ago, although I never had any of my own. I get no greater joy than seeing a child's face light up when they learn something new. I've been a professional nanny for many kids through Sittercity the last 14 years, as well as babysitting for friend’s kids, nieces, nephews & siblings over the years. I'm experienced with newborn to teenagers. I'm the Mary Poppins type--I love to sing, dance, teach & do art projects with kids. I cure tantrums with laughter, listening & distraction. I'm on the sensitive side & am especially good Read more with sensitive children. Years ago I was office manager at an architect firm. I now prefer the company of children and love to see smiling little faces each day. Making kids laugh & helping them learn is far more rewarding than the corporate world. My English skills are excellent as well as my grammar. I know a tiny bit of Spanish as well. I have a car & perfect driving record. First Aid, Infant to Adult CPR certified. I do light housecleaning, laundry, dog walking, etc. I'm great at organizing & can shop for clothes/food. Great in kitchen, I myself am vegan but can cook anything. I hired Lisa as a nanny to primarily care for a 9-month old baby, but also my 5-year old daughter when she was not in school. Lisa has a caring, sweet, energetic personality that absolutely loves babies. She is really nice, honest and genuine. Lisa was generous with giving advice and ideas on how to best support my children. She was constantly thinking about toys and activities to do with my children. She was very active with the children, and took initiative in her work. Both my children quickly felt comfortable with, and then loved being cared for by Lisa. Lisa is a "baby whisperer"-- she loves babies and your baby will be in good hands.

Lisa was great! We hired her to watch our 5 month old for our first night out and it went so smoothly. She was very communicative beforehand (and during) and she was very punctual. She seems to have a great amount of experience with kids in general and infants specifically, knowing a lot about wake windows and sleep schedules. Will look forward to having her as a trusted resource to take care of our baby in the future!

Lisa was our son’s nanny from 5 months to 14 months, at which point we enrolled him in full time daycare. They developed a strong connection and he would cheer when she arrived each morning. Lisa is trustworthy and ethical and we knew our son’s safety was always her priority. She carefully tracked his schedule including naps, meals/snacks, and medication so that we were fully aware of how things went while he was in her care. Lisa has a particular expertise in wake windows and helped us maintain a great nap and bedtime schedule. Today our son is an excellent sleeper. Lisa also methodically researched and recommended products that were developmentally appropriate for our son.

Lisa was great! She took care of my 2 year old son while we were in a hotel in Chicago for the weekend, and Lisa was a life-saver! She was prompt, easy to communicate with and came with toys & instruments for my son. He loved his time with her, she took him on adventures in the city and sent me photos of to check in regularly. She made the weekend so much more enjoyable and carefree for me as I knew my son was in trusted care having a great time.

We hired Lisa when our daughter was 9 months old during the Pandemic. From feedings, to naps, to activities, she took very good care of our daughter, and was an immense help in progressing her development. Lisa is knowledgable, with much experience, and she took a sincere interest in the care and well being of our daughter. Lisa often shared tips ranging from what books children like by age, to which walker is best for new walkers - all very helpful and thoughtful recommendations for this new Mom :) She filled our daughter's day with healthy food, tons of outside time (long walks, playground adventures, finding dogs, etc.), music, and love - everything our daughter needed. You’d be lucky to snag Lisa if you’re able to!

Highly recommend! Lisa is reliable, punctual, very thoughtful and caring. Willing to take our 8-year-old daughter on fun adventures to the beach, park, even outdoor skating in the winter. Always made her nutritious meals and would always bring her a banana when she picked her up from school, in case she was hungry! She was fully engaged with our daughter, always attentive. We loved having Lisa take care of our daughter and still use her on occasion.

Lisa has been a nanny to our 3 yo daughter for the last 2.5 years (2014-2017). She has become a part of our family, and is an amazing caregiver for our child. The trust that we have with Lisa is hard to come by. She is caring, punctual, patient, adventurous and a perfect fit for a baby or toddler. Lisa has had many adventures with our daughter, from weekly visits to the zoo and Wiggleworms to many a park outing and summertime swim adventures. She loves to be active with a child, and expose them to the many great things that the City has to offer. Lisa is great with setting routines w/an infant or toddler to manage sleep schedules, eating, etc. She has handled pick-up for the last year at our daughter's preschool, transitioning to fun activities in the afternoon. And, since our daughter has a dairy allergy, Lisa's attentiveness to a healthy, nutritious lifestyle has made for a worry-free situation. I can't say enough positive things as I couldn't have asked for a better friend/caregiver for my daughter over the last 2+ years. We are moving out of state, but will continue to use Lisa for weekend visits as I can't imagine not having her in my daughter's life!

I highly recommend Lisa, and it's not just because we've been friends for 17 years. She is a unique, warm, thoughtful and caring person, and was our obvious first choice to have help us care for our boy when we had him, and then also our girl (of course) when we had her a year later. Lisa has rolled like a champ with our complex work schedule for 3.5 years now, but she has reached a point where she needs a more full time nanny gig. Whoever decides to hire her will be a fuller family for it. She will forever be a part of ours.

Lisa was my daughter's nanny for several months. She was fantastic. Lisa started working for us for a 3-4 days per week, at approximately 8 hours per day. She quickly made herself a welcome and trusted member of the family. Her cheerful disposition was always welcome, and I always felt that my daughter was in safe and good hands whenever she was with Lisa. I think what I liked most about Lisa was that she utterly committed to taking care of my daughter. She brought her places, sang to her, laughed with her, played with her -- she absolutely engaged with and bonded with my daughter. In addition, when my daughter was napping Lisa proved to be very helpful around the house, effortlessly and quietly taking care of certain chores. I'm incredibly glad Lisa was able to take care of our daughter, who immensely benefited from the experience. You would be hard-pressed to find anyone as warm and caring for your child.

Lisa confirmed that she would be at my place for her 1PM interview the day before the interview was to take place. However, 5 minutes before she was to arrive, she sent an email stating that she didn't know if she was supposed to come, plus, she "was recuperating" from babysitting the night before.

Lisa was great. She was able to help us last minute with our 20 month old daughter when our nanny called in sick. She came the same day for an interview and helped us 3 days this week. She brought a color photocopy of her drivers license on request. She was even early despite a major snowstorm and my daughter liked her very quickly. She got down on the floor with her and kept her engaged even when I was home. I would definitely call Lisa to watch our daughter again.

I don't think I've ever heard my son giggle so much! Lisa was able to come in for a last minute mother's helper day for me, entertaining my 12 month old son while I got work done around the house. She arrived promptly and lost no time in captivating my son. The two of them had a grand ol' time and I know my son would love to see her back again. Thanks so much, Lisa!

Lisa is great with our kids. They look forward to seeing her because she's so cheerful and fun for them to be with. She engages them in creative play and truly cares about them. We wish she lived closer to us; we'd hire her full-time. We totally trust her judgment and honesty, and the kids (age 1, 4, and 6) love her.
