Ana was very pleasant during her interview and so we invited her for a trial day where she was really good with our son. We went forward to hire her after discussing the hours and her availability upfront, and she had accepted the position. Only after I called her a few days later to confirm her hours and starting the position she decided to tell me about another job she was going to do 3 days a week. Prior to spending our time interviewing her and having her even come in to do a day with our child, she could have mentioned she may not be available. She only decided to say this after she had already accepted the position leaving us scrambling yet again to find another babysitter. While she is a nice person and we were ready to hire her, she did not come across as transparent or reliable because of this, which is definitely needed when looking for someone to care for your child.
