Hi there, my name is Emily! I'm 28 years old, and studying to be a doula. I have a varied history of providing care for others and it's something I truly enjoy! I started babysitting when I was 16 and watched twin toddlers for date nights. Later on in life I became a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - I worked in a group home for developmentally disabled minors. For 2.5 years my responsibilities ranged from housekeeping and meal planning to personal care, night supervision, medication administration and transportation. Soon after, I narrowed my focus to helping families through pregnancy/postpartum support and childcare. After my best friend had her first child, I spent two weeks caring for her and the new baby. I became an assistant in a private daycare working with children ages 6 months to 3 years old. I cared for 6 children - leading them through morning circle Read more time, activities, meal times, and supervised naps for a year. I am Adult & Pediatric/Infant CPR/AED/First Aid certified. I have been fingerprinted for my positions as a DSP and Daycare Assistant. My focus is on giving your child a safe and creative space to learn and grow.
