Hi I’m Katie and I am currently pregnant with my first child. I am stepping aside from my corporate job before having my child and would like to take the opportunity to help others with child care before my baby arrives and potentially after. - I have 2 younger siblings (and an older) which I practically raised since there was a big age gap. I drove them to and from their after school activities, took them on trips to the park or pool during free time and we always loved doing crafts or spending time outside whenever we could! - I spent all 4 years of high school babysitting for families in my neighborhood and babysat occasionally during college as well. I’ve watched infants through teenagers and have even done my fair share of pet sitting and house sitting. I love animals and am comfortable with more than just dogs Read more and cats! During my senior year of high school I spent a year working with the special needs kids class doing learning and fun activities to help them with daily tasks. We also did after school activities like bowling and I helped plan and execute a Halloween party. My freshman year of college I was studying early childhood special education before switching schools and majors. Teaching and working with special needs children will always hold a special place in my heart. - Please note I am not currently certified but have been in the past and am more than willing to get my certifications updated. - And a bit about me - I am very friendly and easy going, I am creative and have no trouble finding things to do to minimize screen time, I love cooking and baking and will happily prepare meals for your family, I love to spend time outside and enjoy gardening. I am looking forward to connecting and meeting your family!
