Hello! I’m Alisha, and I have a lifelong passion for working with children. Growing up in a large family with 35 cousins, I was always the one helping with babysitting and childcare. My mother ran an in-home daycare until I was 16 and then became a foster parent to twins, one of whom had special needs. I played an active role in caring for the children in our home and gained hands-on experience from a young age. I began babysitting courses at 11, became CPR and First Aid certified by 12, and earned my lifeguard certification by 16. Throughout my life, I’ve helped care for my 11 nieces and nephews and am soon to be a great aunt! I’m known as the "favorite auntie," and they would happily give glowing recommendations. I volunteered at the Rec Center in Fort Collins during high school, helping middle schoolers with homework and organizing fun activities like basketball games. I also spent time volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, where I worked with kids in various age groups. With my love for arts, science, math, and history, I thrive in educational environments and enjoy helping children explore their creativity and curiosity. As a former Retail Store Manager, I’m transitioning into a career working with children while pursuing further education. I know how challenging summer can be for families, and I’m excited to offer reliable, fun, and caring support to help make your life easier. I have a clean driving record, pass all background checks, and am committed to keeping a safe, clean environment for your family. When I’m not caring for others, you can find me outdoors hiking, swimming, or camping with my three dogs and husband. I believe in making every day special, and whether it’s making homemade ice cream, building bubble machines, or exploring the great outdoors, I have tons of fun, engaging activities to share. I especially love working with children ages 2-4, but I also enjoy spending time with tweens and older kids.
