Hi, my name is Kaylee! I am a college student attending the University of Cincinnati currently majoring in nursing with a minor in public health. I have worked with kids for many years, whether it was helping watch my younger brother or babysitting the neighborhood kids. I have also helped teach dance classes to preschool aged children, since I used to be a dancer myself, and would love to pass that on again! Because of my experience with kids, I have always known that I wanted to pursue a career in pediatrics. I plan on working in one of Cincinnati's hospitals on the pediatric unit, and have also further considered a pediatric oncology floor! Right now, during the school year, I work as an in home caregiver for a 23 year old with a specific nerve disorder, leading to her many disabilities. I have also recently volunteered as a one Read more on one peer for Pause for Parents, where I helped provide a positive environment and play space for special needs kids. In high school, I completed and passed two certification tests and had my patient care technician (PCT) and certified clinical medical assistant (CCMA) certifications! Although I did not pursue a job in either, I have still retained the knowledge from those courses and understand first aid, vital signs, and certain medical techniques. I am looking for a summer job and am available from the beginning of May to the beginning of August. I am also looking for a job that is somewhat flexible, as I have a couple of trips that have been previously planned. I am a very positive and compassionate person and would love to make an impact on your children's lives!
