Hello there! My name is Alayna and I am an experienced infant and early childhood caretaker and educator. With 20 years of experience caring for children as young as 15 weeks, up to 12 years of age, I went on to receive my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development and recently had a daughter of my own (Haddie Elizabeth - born 9/13/2024)! Instead of returning to work as an account manager (the position I had worked for several years before going on maternity leave), I have made a decision to find the right family in need of affordable childcare who would allow me to bring my daughter to work. Additionally, I am open to watching the children at my house (we live in the Federal Way/ Milton/ Edgewood area - zip code 98001). I am passionate about early childhood development and have worked in multiple settings, including KinderCare Daycare, Head Read more Start pre-school, the University of Idaho’s Child Development Laboratory, and even nannied for 4 children in Italy while working a part-time time job teaching English at a local elementary school! I am comfortable caring for up to 3 children at this time (including my daughter Haddie), and am willing to set a low/ flexible hourly rate for my qualifications because I will be caring for Haddie as well. My sincere goal is to be able to benefit another family and provide individualized care and learning opportunities as a practical and affordable alternative to daycare. If you are comfortable with this situation and your child/ children spending the day with my little girl as well, I would LOVE to touch base personally and discuss what this situation would look like for us (in terms of part-time or full-time, location, working hours, etc. Again, I am flexible and willing to discuss any proposed arrangement depending on the need).
