My name is Rachel Richardson and I am 22 years old. I live with my husband and our two cats in Taneytown, Md. We love having friends over or going on hikes. And I love music and photography. I gradated high school in 2014, worked at an insurance company for almost a year. Then I worked as a co-provider for an in-home daycare and an in-home nanny for the owner of the daycare, before finally becoming a nanny full-time. At the insurance company, I learned I don't like to sit still all day. At the in-home daycare, I learned that I'm not ready to take on more than 4 kids on my own. As a nanny living with the family, I learned so much about healthy and happy environments for kids and saw so much love and community. As a nanny of 4 sweet and creative children ages 2-11, I Read more learned that working with a family I only got to see a few days a week was not enough for me and to slow down and experience the little things. As a nanny of 4 crazy active and joyful kids ages 2-9, I learned so much about finding the joy in everything, the power of being able to go with the flow, and a lot about the importance of setting boundaries as a caregiver. With the family of two little boys ( 3 and 7 months) I’ve learned how to push myself to be present 100% of the time to help the three year olds speech progress flourish. It has been extremely rewarding. I believe I am an honest and caring nanny. I will always try to make sure your kids have great days where they learn, play, and explore. I like to bring in seasonal/holiday crafts. Getting outside, playing games, and creating things as much as possible. Pajama/Movie/Board game days when its rainy and gloomy. Library and park trips whenever you/they want. I am completely comfortable taking care of sick kids, and cleaning up after them. I have experience potty training boys and girls. I was CPR certified in 2015 and again in July of 2018. I love kids and hope to work with them for the rest of my life whether it be as a nanny, in-home daycare owner, guidance counselor, or as a mother.
