Although we ended up canceling due to a family member being available to watch our little one… Maya was very responsive and we felt confident. She provided everything we needed prior and communicated very promptly.

Maya contacted me within minutes of sending her a message through the website. She was available to speak over the phone and come for a quick interview, on a very short notice position. Maya has watched our 13 year old special needs boy for over a year now and she's been great. He has autism and speech apraxia, and uses alternative means of communication (signing, pointing, AAC and Facilitated communication). She has taken it upon herself to learn facilitated communication so that she can help him practice, and communicate - as well as helping out with him learning hygiene like brushing his teeth, flossing etc. She plays with him, bakes and cooks with him, and tries to find fun and creative ways to occupy him. He really loves her and looks forward to her coming. He also has some tendencies for aggression, which have been improved by a medication change - but she has been patient with that, and helped Josh calm down after an escalation. In addition, she cleans for us too and does a great job with that! I highly recommend Maya!
