Hello! My name is Mickayla Reyes. I have worked with kids age 6 weeks to 12 years old and enjoy what each of these ages bring developmentally to interactions and care. I have a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I use my degree primarily in an educational setting through preschools or after-school programs and currently work part-time in a library. The best thing about working with kids is watching them learn something new or solve a problem. Seeing that growth and the lightbulb moments are my favorite because they elicit more curiosity and confidence to try new things. I have experience planning activities and creating lesson plans through my after-school jobs; as well as, conducting them with large groups of varying ability. Because of this I am able to adapt to the needs of individual children regardless their age. I have also held a teacher position in the Read more infant and toddler rooms of a Montessori preschool. I just adore the little ones! I am looking for an opportunity to work directly with a family, so I can give the individual children more focused and engaging care than I can in a big group. I am a genuine and positive person. I like to approach things with enthusiasm and am not afraid to be a little foolish. It's just more fun for everyone when your a little goofy. I also love crafts and crochet little stuffed animals as a hobby!
