The same thing that happened to Helen and Vania happened to us as well. I find it extremely obvious there is something wrong here as Laurie Jo did not show nor call, and we awaited her arrival excited to meet her for an hour. She messaged hours later a lavish story about a family emergency out of town. Very disappointed.

My husband and I interviewed Laurie on the phone, the interview went great and we were excited to meet her the following day in person. The next day, an agreed upon time for her to come by, she cancelled a couple of hours before her arrival. We rescheduled for four days later, a date that worked for both of us, again. We reached out to her the day of to confirm, and never heard back. She never showed up either. We hope she is ok, she appears to log on consistently to Sitter city, but the ghosting was unfortunate.

We wanted to hire Laurie as our full-time nanny and really appreciated the one day she spent with our son. She was prompt, courteous, and very engaging. She's had a wealth of experience with infants and it clearly showed during her time that she spent with our family. The one reference I was able to get in touch with also lavished praise of her work. However, it didn't seem to work out due to family emergencies that arose on her end and unfortunately wasn't communicated until the very last minute (which is the only reason why I deducted one star).
