Hello there! My name is Teagan, but I go by Tea (like the drink). I have been working alongside children for a combined total of thirteen years with five of those years employed in professional childcare and child-teaching environments. I am dedicated to providing fun and engaging care to youngsters ages 1 and up. My current experience has been spent in the company of toddlers and preschoolers in the morning & elementary-age children in the afternoon. I seek to provide safe, wholesome, & supportive care to all children I teach. New & updated material on caring for youngsters is a top priority of mine because I desire to be an adult my students can trust and rely on. My spouse, myself, & our two cats currently live in North Portland in the Kenton neighborhood. We relocated to Portland during the summer of 2020 and I have adored every moment of Read more living here thus far. We are planning on purchasing a home in the Fall of 2024. While at home I enjoy learning fiber arts; crochet, embroidery, & cross stitch to name a few. I’ve been a lifelong lover of video games, namely simulation-style farming & lifestyle games, and grew up on Pokemon/Animal Crossing/Legend of Zelda, all of which I still play to this day! My most recent long-term employ has been with the wonderful Stephenson Child Care Association. SCCA offers supervised (and fun!) afterschool care at Stephenson Elementary near Tryon Creek State Natural Area. Along with SCCA, I have also had the wonderful opportunity to be a preschool teacher at Little Olive Tree Preschool. Before these childcare jobs, I managed a local music school in Santa Cruz, California. The experience Be Natural Music gave me enriched my life for the better and set me on a lifelong path of working alongside children. I have many community-based trainings I earned from Oregon's mandated training hours and I am more than happy to share those certificates.
