Hi! I’m a senior at Iowa State majoring in Biochemistry and Math, and I absolutely love working with kids. I believe parents should feel confident leaving the house knowing their children are safe and having fun. As the middle child of five, I gained early experience helping care for my younger brother (9 years younger) which sparked my love for childcare and taught me the responsibilities of a parent from a young age, especially in infant care. I started babysitting him independently at 12 and soon began working with families in my community, caring for kids from 6 months to 6 years old. I’ve maintained many of those relationships to this day, sitting during school breaks and holidays. I enjoy connecting with kids through activities like arts and crafts, imaginative play, and outdoor games, and I love getting to know each child’s unique personality. I’m certified as a substitute teacher Read more and paraprofessional, and I’ve worked with children with special needs, including autism and Down syndrome. I also have experience tutoring in math and supporting early reading and writing skills. I’m available Friday and Saturday evenings and would love to support your family!
