Hello! The reason why I love being a sitter is because I love children! My passion for child development gave me the opportunity to work for an authentic day care that allowed me to earn my Child Development Associates (CDA Certification). My passion for children made me realize that I would like to pursue a career within education. Working part-time as a nanny/babysitter will allow me to balance work, life, and school! I volunteered at a church (in Houston for a year) as a youth minister for 8th grade girls. I also have a year experience as an Early Childhood Educator from Stepping Stone School- where I also earned my CDA. Currently gaining experience as a nanny! Indoor activities that I enjoy doing with children consists of arts and crafts, math manipulative (counting or helping with math homework) , cognitive development (practice speech skills and gaining knowledge), role-playing( Playing with Read more dinosaurs, trucks, legos, dolls, etc.), and much more! Outdoor activities that I enjoy doing with children are chasing, helping a child learn how to use a tricycle, reading a book outside, splash activities, etc.

Alicia was forthcoming and lovely during our interview; upon talking to her I felt at ease that she would be taking care of our kids while we were out and about. She was extremely patient with my children (and our 3 yo boy can be extremely challenging) and appreciated her communication skills. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
