I have over 12 years of paid childcare/provider experience, and hold a Bachelors, Masters, and PhD. in various forms of psychology. ________________ I have been working as a research scientist for a biotech startup, which is moving to Florida. ________________ Do to the nature and niche of my career/field, I will be around to provide care services on an occasional or part-time basis for the next 6 or so months. My only other commitment is teaching a singlecollege course (remote), and aproximately 5 hours a week of consulting work (at my leisure). ________________ I am open to all hours/days and live in the Sugarhouse neighborhood of Salt Lake City, with reliable transportation. I frequently go to Park City during the winter months for outdoor activities (hold an epic mountain pass), and am therefor more than willing to travel to the Park City area for sits. ________________ First began nannying 13 Read more yrs ago for an infant I would get ready and drop off at daycare. I ended up accepting a job at the daycare and worked in the infant and preschool rooms until I began nannying for a family of three (4 on weekends) that consisted of an infant, a 3 year old and a 12 year old. _________ I continued sitting for certain families for several years beyond my formal childcare jobs while I worked as an applied behavioral analysis technician in a center for children with learning and behavioral needs until I went off to graduate school. ________________ During my masters, PhD, and fellowship, I sat occasionally-weekly for several families throughout the 7 years after my bachelors. That included evening and occasional care for children diagnosed with autism, postnatal care, mommy’s helper, and date night sitters for children as young as 4 weeks to as old as 13yrs. ________________ I coached hockey and figure skating to kids from 3 to 16 yrs old, and helped run an afterschool skating program with the YMCA and Boys & Girls Club in Hartford, CT for several years. ________________ Asside from my knowledge from prior childcare experience and professional degrees, I am very professional, honest, ethical, loving, outdoorsy, and excel at active engagement with children. I enjoy incorporating educational components into everyday play, activities, and sports.
