I am an educator with over 5 years of experience working with children. My teaching experience began 7 years ago when I served as a volunteer Kindergarten teacher abroad in Livingstone, Zambia. As a volunteer teacher, I led a class of young students in lessons that targeted developing their English language skills. My teaching style is nurturing and empathetic while targeting child-led learning, and utilizing art, music, and dance to promote creativity. In 2019, I served as a Sunday School teacher with children 2-6 years old as I was completing my bachelors degree in Psychology at UC Davis with a minor in global studies. As a Sunday school teacher, I created developmentally appropriate lesson plans that targeted time outdoors and included activities such as art, nature walks, and sensory play. Following the completion of my degree, I worked for two years as a nanny with young children. Additionally, I have Read more two years of experience working with neurodivergent kiddos as a behavior therapist. In this role, I worked with children ages 2-12 with diagnoses of and related to ADHD, ASD, and Dyslexia. I witnessed children's skills blossom as we worked on play skills, communication, and skill acquisition. Today, I am completing my master's degree I'm Marriage and Family therapy at Sacramento State University. I specialize in play and art therapy. I am available Mondays, Fridays, and weekends for babysitting and nannying. I enjoy spending time in nature walking and hiking, doing yoga, reading, and writing music. I am located in Sacramento.
