Hi! My name is Ashley Mitchell, but most people call me Ash. I’m 18, and I have no experience in jobs with children, however I have taken care of many children throughout my life! I have a cousin who is 6 now but I’ve babysat him since he was born, I also have two nieces I have taken care of from time to time, as well as helping care for and play with my neighbors children! I have 3 dogs at home and love pets of all sorts, I also don’t mind doing some house chores to keep myself busy. My passion is to work with and care for children. I’ve always loved kids. I strive to be patient and loving with them, as I believe every child deserves love, encouragement, and support. I am very understanding of children with special needs and willing to try my best with them. Read more I myself am diagnosed with high functioning autism, which means I can function almost as well a neurotypical person would, but sometimes I’m bothered by certain textures or foods, and plenty of other little things like that. I have done so much research into disabilities and understand them the best I can! I don’t have much experience with infants but I have lots with toddlers and children and I’d be very happy to make some new friends! I hope to someday become a teachers aide, or maybe even assistant, and work in an elementary level classroom environment. I can’t wait to meet and care for so many new friends!!
