Hello! My name is Shayna, and I'm 20 years old. I graduated in 2023 from Appoquinimink High School, earning a diploma in allied health. Currently, I am back in school to obtain my certification as a pediatric medical assistant. From my preteen years to the present, I have always had a passion for working with and being around children. I bring valuable experience in this area; during my time at Meredith Middle School, I worked at a daycare located right across the street. Additionally, in high school, I was employed at the daycare within my school. Presently, I work at a children's shoe store where I enjoy making kids happy, and they seem to love me too! I have experience with children aged toddler, preschool, and grade school, and I truly enjoy babysitting. During high school, I focused on nursing and child development, and I also participated in the child daycare program at Appoquinimink High School. Working with young children not only deepened my understanding of developmental milestones but also instilled in me qualities such as patience, empathy, and effective communication skills. These experiences played a crucial role in shaping my career goals and sparked a passion for working in fields dedicated to nurturing growth and well-being.
