Hi! My name is Avery, and I’m a full-time college student majoring in Special Education. I’ll be home for the summer and am looking for opportunities to continue doing what I love—working with kids! I have experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to elementary schoolers. I care for my 9-month-old niece when I am not here at school and have babysat toddlers and school-aged children, which has given me a solid understanding of how to meet a variety of developmental needs. I’ve also helped in a special education classroom, which strengthened my ability to support kids with diverse learning styles and needs. In addition to childcare, I tutor elementary-aged students—especially in math, which is my strongest subject. I’m passionate about helping kids learn and grow, and I always aim to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. I’m responsible, patient, and bring a lot of positive energy.
