Hi there, Parents! My name is Maris. I was born in Colombia, I speak Spanish, and I am fluent in English after spending seven wonderful years living in Melbourne, Australia. My journey in childcare began many years ago when I started looking after my little cousin back home a simple experience that sparked what has truly become my passion. Connecting with children and being part of their growth is something I genuinely love and enjoy. During my time in Australia, I worked as an Au Pair twice and had the opportunity to care for children from several amazing families in Melbourne. Each experience allowed me to build strong bonds with the kids and families, while also strengthening my skills and confidence as a caregiver. Here in the U.S., I also have references from families I’ve supported and connected with, and I’m more than happy to share them. Some of the activities I enjoy include playing games, planning creative activities, cooking and preparing snacks, painting and colouring, reading, and doing outdoor activities like walking or playing age-appropriate games.
