My name is Sandra. I am 58 years old, married for 24 years. My husband is a College Professor at Georgetown College for 10 y +. I am a vegetarian and animal lover, looking for a family who needs a full time nanny on weekdays. I am flexible with my working hours. Salary range is negotiable. I have been a nanny for over 10 years, taking care of children from 0 to 9 years of age and it has been a wonderful journey. It is a very rewarding experience to be able to help parents raising their kids. While each family has their unique dynamics, my role and responsibilities as a nanny and caregiver are essentially the same. I take care of all their needs for the day. it includes making lunches, laundry, entertaining with educational experiences, and engaging with physical activities. Those include taking them to local libraries, parks, Read more pool clubs, games, readings, and walks. In addition, I scheduled all these activities with the conscious goal of educating and disciplining them. For instance, w ludic activities together, focusing on positive enforcement. As an example, sing together, as we put the toys away. listen to music and play instruments. Make up songs, exploring their creativity and sense of accomplishment. I do my best to be a good role model by setting examples with my behavior, the language I use around them and being kind to each other. As for newborns, I take care of bottle-feeding schedule and actual feeding, changing diapers, and controlling nap times. After 3 months old I begin to introduce the baby to sensory and motor skills activities like music and speech, sometimes focusing on foreign languages, namely Spanish and Portuguese. In case of siblings, it is also my responsibility to create a shared time and environment for both kids to learn how to get to know and love each other. I take nutrition very seriously. it is very well know nowadays that the quality of food impacts children minds and bodies so I always try to cook healthy meals. The safety and well being of your child/children will be always my priority. I can provide references and some material about courses I’ve been taking during the interview.
