I am a 55 year old father of two grown wonderful sons. I work as a management consultant during the day but I have a great deal of latitude with my time. I am intelligent, compassionate, warm, funny, kind and accountable. I am a rugby and sports coach, artist, accomplished chef, organic farmer, and teacher. I am an avid surfer, swimmer and kayaker and love the great outdoors. I am a former boy scout leader from when my kids were younger. I love looking after kids of all ages and helping them grow into healthy, kind, loving adults. I am currently exploring becoming a foster parent now that my kids have grown and flown the coop. I would be happy to contribute my positive energy, love, warmth and compassion and parenting skills to looking after some great kids. I am particularly skilled and experienced with Jewish and LGBTQ families and Read more working with children who have ADHD, learning or physical disabilities. I am a high energy guy who loves being with kids who will challenge me intellectually and physically. I have helped raise children of every age through assisting my friends and very large Irish family. I am currently seeking short term child or young adult minding assignments. Ideally, a couple of days or evenings or as a sitter for a special event or an evening out. I live in Weehawkin NJ and have an office in Times Square. Ideally, I would like to pursue sitting assignments in NYC, Hoboken or Jersey City. But, I am always open to a conversation if you are outside that geographic area. I am very comfortable with multiple kids and family pets of all sizes. I am a non smoker, rarely drink, try to cook a healthy mediterranean diet. I esoecially enjoy showing kids how to cook, clean, do laundry, and care for animals. I seek to adhere to your parenting style and family and household rules. While I am proficient in the use of social media and technology i hope to work for families who want to use it minimally. I prefer to be in a pool, beach, park or a back yard and encouraging kids to breath fresh air and play games, build camps, do arts and crafts projects, and use their imagination and creative gifts rather than playing video games.
