Hi there! I've been caring for children for over 15 years. I am passionate about keeping children engaged in a variety of activities focusing on a variety of skills and subjects. I am active and knowledgeable in sports, nature and outdoor activities. I try to be an engaged nanny and create a safe and nurturing environment for the children. I am skilled in working with children of various ages, levels of needs and multiple children households. In addition to my extensive childcare experience, I have a culinary business background. I have experience in preparing many dishes and accommodating a wide range of dietary needs. I am happy to prepare meals, food prep and teach kids their way around a kitchen. More About Me Relevant experience where I also cared for children were… I have an art education background and spent two years working in a daycare setting. I have been doing private childcare for over 10 years. Activities I enjoy doing with children… Fine art, music, building, imagination play, STEM, hide and seek, most any sport, geocaching, disc golf, parks, library, reading, puzzles, board games and cards, video games, sensory play. I'm open to try new things always. I have a good sense of adventure and life long learning! The most important part about being a nanny… I think the most important thing about being a nanny is contributing something positive to the life of a child and nurturing their individual needs and personalities. My experience with special needs children… I have experience working with children on the autism spectrum, emotional disturbance and language/communication impairment. My favorite nanny moment… One of my favorite nanny moments is when I took the kids on there first geocaching adventure. The pure joy in their faces was amazing. And at the end of the day one of then said to me, "I only have one complaint, I wish you would have showed us this sooner!" Additionally, I got a message from their mom later saying both kids said they had the best day ever!
