Hi, my name is Ivy and I am so excited to meet your family! I have been in the childcare field for years, with one foot in the camp industry all the while. I can certainly say, it is the work of my heart! I am certified in First Aid, CPR, Lifeguarding, am a Wilderness First Responder, and am a Licensed Childcare Provider. I absolutely love what I do, and strive to always put my best foot forward. I really believe that everything can be an adventure, a game, or anything in between—there are new ways to experience everything, and there is such a great big world out there for kids to dip their toes into! I am a firm believer that things don't always have to look the way that everyone else is doing them, and that fun is just waiting to be had! As someone who has worked Read more in the camp industry, taught Sunday school, done Pre-K assistant teaching, directed teen leadership programming, and has thousands and thousands of hours of childcare experience under my belt, my sixth sense is certainly knowing how to make the mundane more fun than it needs to be. It is definitely a gift of mine that I am lucky to channel into so many young lives—making sure they always get to see an example of an adult truly having fun. Uncovering the adventure around every corner means that I am no stranger to library trips, fire station tours, nature walks, making homemade pies, building giant cardboard houses, and all the other endless activitties that can open up a child's eyes to the possibilities of the world right in front of them! I have definitely been around the block when it comes to working with children of all ages, but particularly the little guys—I've been privileged to see so many grow up right before my eyes! I have been able to work with so many amazing people throughout the years and I absolutely love all of my families and their children with all my heart—even those that have moved away, grown up, or I no longer see, I sill wish them well always. I have never had a child who didn't want me back, nor a family, and that is something I pride myself on very deeply. If you are looking for more than just someone to watch your children, we are speaking the same language. It is always my goal to build relationships that last, and to be a best friend to all of the babies, toddlers, little kids, big kids, tweens, and teens that I get to walk with along the way as they grow up and face so much of the world for the very first time.
