I’ve babysat for 3 families. In 2020, a single mother and she needed her son (2 years old) to be taken cared of while she worked. He’s a very sweet boy and we always played with his toys all while I had school online. The second family I babysat for was in 2023. They had 2 daughters (2 and 3 years old), but in the mornings it started with the two year old. We had a morning routine starting with waking them both up, getting the three-year-old dressed for school as the two-year-old slept, prepared breakfast, dad will drop off the three-year-old to school, mom would leave for work, leaving me and the 2 year old. Mom and Dad didn’t want any screens in their faces, so we always read books, played dress up, colored, and solved puzzles. After a few hours, the second youngest came back from school via Read more Dad, then he would leave going back to work. Once she came back from school we immediately started her homework so she could play after (she’s a very smart girl). I don’t babysit for them anymore, but I do wonder how they’re doing. The third Family, which had both their sons (3 years old and 11 months) enrolled at the daycare I worked in, asked me if I could what them for some hours while both parents worked. Both boys are truly great and very sweet, I had lots of fun babysitting them!
