My sitting started when I was 12 yesterday old. Just evenings for couples that wanted some time off. At thirteen I took over the daily responsibility of a darling 2 year old from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. Monday through Friday during our schools Summer Break. If you have pets, My parents allowed me to bring home any animal I found that needed a home, or a better home. Over time, until I was 18 years of age, I managed to acquire 12 stray dogs to live with our 2, a bird, rabbit, skink, and a few snakes. The wild ones were released whenever they became well enough to survive back in nature. I married at 19 to a man who had custody of his young (1 1/2 years) daughter. I gave birth to my daughter two years later and my son six years later. When our older daughter started Read more first grade, I began watching the neighborhood children whenever there was a need. Some were weekly, others Dailey. Since my children left grade school I have only kept my own grandchildren occasionally. My daughter home schooled her children. I have been a C.N.A (Certified Nursing Assistant) but have not kept up my certification. It is also time for my CPR & First Aid recertification classes which I hope to be starting soon. I am applying for the job of Nanny but would also look at sitting. I would prefer newborns or infants but would possibly take children up to two years of age
